Network Management

This disclosure describes how Moorgade manages its network and the performance you can expect, so you can make informed choices about our service.

Effective November 1, 2026

1. Open internet commitments

Moorgade does not block lawful content, applications, services or non-harmful devices. We do not throttle lawful traffic based on its content, source or destination, and we do not offer paid prioritization.

2. Congestion management

Our network is engineered with capacity well above peak demand. We do not apply data caps or usage-based throttling. If unusual congestion occurs, we address it by adding capacity rather than limiting individual customers.

3. Security measures

We take reasonable steps to protect the network, which may include filtering traffic associated with known denial-of-service attacks, spoofed source addresses or widespread malware. Outbound SMTP on port 25 is blocked on residential connections to prevent spam; mail clients should use ports 465 or 587.

4. Performance

Typical speeds and latency for each plan are published in our Broadband Facts. Fiber service is suitable for real-time applications such as video conferencing, online gaming and voice over IP.

5. Devices

Any device that complies with applicable technical standards may be connected to our service. Customers may use their own routers in place of the gateway we provide.

6. Privacy

Network management practices do not involve inspecting the content of customer communications. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.
